A double-blind clinical trial involving 155 newborns evaluated the effects of a probiotic containing 10⁸ CFU of B. breve BR03 and B. breve B632 over 90 days. Newborns were randomly assigned to receive either the probiotic or a placebo. The results showed that the probiotic significantly helped prevent functional gastrointestinal disorders in healthy, breastfed newborns.

Key findings include:

• A 56% reduction in daily vomiting frequency (p < 0.03).
• A 46.5% decrease in daily evacuations over time (p < 0.03).
• Improved stool consistency in term newborns (p < 0.0001).

In a separate study with 83 infants, the probiotic significantly reduced crying time compared to placebo during the third month of treatment (p = 0.01). These results suggest the probiotic may support digestive health and comfort in newborns.
